Systemagic has a long history of working with some of the west-country’s finest independent hotels and boutique guest houses.
This means the team understands the hospitality sector better than most IT providers – how guest satisfaction is key to achieving repeat business and great occupation rates, how small things like the speed at which checkout paperwork prints can make a big difference, and how IT must drive the business but work quietly in the background allowing staff to focus on the guests.
I’m always very happy to recommend your wonderful team and I do feel that you have a great understanding of the hotel sector and all its peculiar requirements. – Karen Kevelighan, Combe Grove, Bath
Read on to find out how we’ve helped the award winning Abbey Hotel in Bath, along with its sister hotels Villa Magdala and No 15 Great Pulteney, to implement excellent IT systems which achieve help to excellent customer satisfaction and drive the businesses forward.
The Abbey Hotel, Bath
Working with the hotel’s owners, Ian and Christa Taylor, Systemagic have helped to make sure that the guest experience is boosted by great technology and that the staff are able to manage and grow three hotels in the city with centralised systems and teams. Making use of the cloud wherever possible, we have enabled staff to work at any of the three properties seamlessly, with accounts and marketing staff based centrally. This thriving 65 bedroom hotel also has a busy restaurant, popular art bar, an outdoor terrace and the underground “Igloo Bar”, all of which need to be covered by the hotel’s systems.
The end results are that:
What we’ve delivered
Guests can connect to strong wifi in all areas of the hotel including outside and underground
Internet speed is extremely fast, all the time, thanks to dedicated fibre
The three hotels are connected to each other allowing for centralised admin
IT systems are discreet, hidden where possible
Regular system maintenance and ongoing support keeps the IT systems running smoothly
Systems are secure and compliant, keeping guest’s card transactions safe
By embracing VoIP telephony we’ve saved money and added flexibility
The hotel management have a trusted partner for all technical solutions
No 15 Great Pulteney
When Ian and business partner Jonathan Walker embarked on a new project in 2016, Systemagic once again stepped in. No 15 Great Pulteney, previously the Carfax Hotel, involved a complete refurbishment of three townhouses on Bath’s famous Great Pulteney Street. The IT side of the project included everything from building the comms room and ensuring that connectivity reaches throughout the building, connecting the hotel to superfast fibre and installing wifi for guests and staff, installing a VoIP telephone system for staff and guests, and liaising with other technical trades including CCTV, tv services and software providers to ensure a successful project. Going forward, Systemagic will be supporting and maintaining the systems to ensure that they continue to run smoothly and allow staff to focus on their guests.
