1999
Systemagic is incorporated as a limited company by founders Mike & Alex Wood and offered both business IT support and website design to small businesses.
2000
We move our offices to Windsor Bridge House in Bath.
2002
James Eades joins as an IT Technician in late-2002.
2004
We install our first ADSL broadband for a client and Chris Sweet joins as an IT Technician.
2006
We take on our first (of soon-to-be many) apprentices and we move again! This time to Entry Hill in Bath.
2007
We become an official ESET Bronze Partner.
2008
We achieve Microsoft Silver Partner status.
2009
James Eades becomes a director of Systemagic and is included in the IoD ‘Young Director of the Year’ Awards.
2010
James Eades takes over as Managing Director.
2011
We sell our website design and development division, ‘Created in Bath’.
2012
We became an official Microsoft 365 Partner and begin selling VoIP.
2014
We move to Waterhouse in Bath, achieve a £500,000 turnover, James becomes 50% shareholder and we win our first ever award – Micro Employer of the Year.
2015
Chris is promoted to Technical Director, we win ‘Small Employer of the Year’ and we attract investment from a new non-exec Chairman to work with us over the next few years of growth.
2016
James is included on the prestigious ’42 Under 42′ entrepreneurs’ list and we launch our new branding #DoingITDifferently.
2017
We moved to our current office in Bradford on Avon, won 3 big awards and became an ESET Silver Partner.
2018
We start the year by winning ‘SME of the Year’ at the South West Business Awards, achieve a £1m turnover, being included in Microsoft’s ‘Inbound Marketing Excellence Award list’, Business Leader’s ’32 South West Businesses Shaping The Future’ and win ‘Technology & Innovation Award’ at the BOA Business Awards.
2019
James is runner-up in the ‘Male Entrepreneur of the Year’ category of the South West Business Awards, and we’re included in the ‘Top 32 South West Tech Businesses’ by Go:Tech and the ‘South West Tech 101’ list by Business Cloud. We also celebrate 20 years in business and Fiona Major joins us as Customer Experience Manager.
2020
In 2020, after continued growth, we expanded into our full office building. We all know what else happened in 2020!
2021
We achieve Microsoft Gold Partner status!
2022
In 2022, we achieved a £2.5m turnover (56% growth), Fiona is promoted to Operations Director, James wins ‘Male Entrepreneur of the Year’ at the Great British Business & Community Awards and we win the ‘Customer Experience Champion’ at the Inspire Business Awards’.
2023
In 2023, we closed a record-breaking number of tickets and achieved our fastest average response and resolution time in 25 years. We were also certified as a Great Place to Work!
2024
Systemagic celebrates its 25th birthday – a monumental achievement for any small-medium business. We also won SuperOps’ ‘Customer Champion’ award.
