H2 is a creative, digital and design agency based in Bradford on Avon, Wiltshire. They provide a range of design services to businesses of all shapes and sizes working with businesses both locally and nationally.
Over the last year, H2 has been asked by an increasing number of prospects whether they are Cyber Essentials Certified.
This is something H2 had wanted to do for a long time. However, as a busy design agency, H2’s directors didn’t have the time or technical knowledge to get through it quickly.
As H2’s IT support provider, the owners reached out to our team to discuss their best options.
Our ‘guided pass’ Cyber Essentials service appeared to be the most suitable option for H2’s needs.
We started the project by reviewing H2’s current IT infrastructure and mapping it against Cyber Essentials’ requirements to pass.
Overall, H2’s IT set-up was robust, however, a few areas needed to be addressed in order to pass Cyber Essentials.
The first step was to move all of H2’s devices onto a managed platform. As H2’s team predominately use Macs, JumpCloud was the most suitable solution. Based only a few doors down from our HQ, we sent Sam and Jamie on site to help set up the team’s devices.
JumpCloud enables us to remotely manage and monitor devices, users, security policies and push software updates – all crucial aspects of Cyber Essentials certification.
Once JumpCloud was set up, the next step was to push ESET Antivirus out to all devices.
With the right tools in place, we then made the necessary changes and tweaks to ensure that H2 would meet all the requirements to pass Cyber Essentials – and they did.
H2 passed Cyber Essentials with flying colours and has the correct security policies and measures to help prevent and mitigate the risk of cyberattacks.
With its CE certification, H2 can confidently bid for new tenders and provide peace of mind to its new and existing clients that their data is safe.
