What is Microsoft Copilot?

You may or may not have heard about Microsoft’s latest release, ‘Microsoft Copilot‘. So we wanted to take the opportunity to briefly introduce it and highlight its capabilities.

What is Copilot?

Microsoft Copilot is an AI assistant built into Microsoft 365 apps, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

What Can It Do?

Copilot comes jam-packed with a variety of features, including the ability to create PowerPoint presentations from a few words, summarise email threads with just the click of a button and take minutes during Teams meetings and distribute them afterwards.

Over time, Microsoft Copilot’s features will continue to grow and evolve,

Is Copilot Worth The Money?

A Microsoft Copilot license costs £24.70/month (paid upfront, annually).

While the upfront cost of Copilot may seem like a lot, Copilot is designed to save you time.

Therefore, the question ‘is Copilot worth the money?’ depends on how much time you can save using it.

The average UK salary broken down works out at £17.40/hr.

In which case, Copilot would need to save the average UK employee just 4 minutes a day to produce a positive ROI.

This is certainly achievable with Copilot’s current functionality.

How Can Copilot Help Me?

As we mentioned, Microsoft Copilot works natively with Microsoft apps, such as Teams, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Copilot can help you draft Word documents in minutes, create stunning PowerPoint presentations with just a few prompts, or clear up your inbox in a click of a button.

To provide an honest and non-technical review of Copilot, we had our Operations Director, Fiona, give it a try and provide her thoughts.
