It’s hard to believe that we’re already at the end of April and for me at least it seems 2016 is flying by. So much so that, as Systemagic’s financial year comes to an end marking just over 6 months since I became Chairman, there are lots of developments to be reviewed as we begin planning our targets for the coming 12 months and beyond.
Without boring you with all of the details or revealing all our secrets (I could tell you but then I’d have to kill you) the last half-year has bought about fantastic changes in the business, our goals and the makeup of our team as we grow and develop. There have been significant challenges and lots of positive developments and I am sure that as we begin our two-day strategy session in the Library at our offices at Waterhouse Bath next week the whole team will have a lot to talk about.
Whilst preparing for my part of the review process one of the areas that I found most interesting is analysing the sources of growth over the last 12/18 months. For me this is key when reviewing the underlying performance of a business as it helps to allocate resources and is key to establishing the return on investment of your efforts.
What surprised me most of all is the growth that we have achieved via acquisition over the last 2/3 years and how efficiently we have managed this process. Systemagic has developed a very interesting partnership approach methodology which allows us to work with smaller IT service providers in the South West area to bring on board their business in an efficient and profitable manner which works for both.
So I guess this blog is part review and also part appeal for assistance. If you know someone that owns (or indeed are someone that owns) a small, business focussed, contract IT support business in Bath, Wiltshire or Somerset that potentially wants to exit then please do drop me a line (martin@systemagic.co.uk) as we are keen to talk to you.
We have a proven model (that has worked efficiently on a number of occasions) which offers our partner a range of benefits including:
If you fit the bill, or know anyone that does, then please drop me a line as I think one of my KPI’s as Chairman in 2016/17 will be to complete a couple of transactions and, well you know, time is flying and I hate to underperform!
* The reason that this is quite literally is that this blog was finished whilst I was on a flight heading to….well you know what it’s a bit of a secret and might be the subject of future blogs….but I do believe in total transparency….
