This week, we had the pleasure of attending ESET’s partner conference at the stunning Hoar Cross Hall in Staffordshire. Not only was the location impressive, but the team at ESET outdid themselves in hosting a fantastic event, packed with insightful updates, valuable networking, and some unexpected treats!
Upon arrival, we were welcomed with thoughtful gifts that added a personal touch to the experience – handwritten welcome cards, branded Hoar Cross Hall gin bottles and custom ESET LEGO sets.
Evening entertainment included a cocktail-making masterclass, where we learned to shake up our own ESET negroni, followed by a casino evening full of lots of laughter and competition. Our very own Hazel showed her prowess at the casino tables, winning an award and a bottle of fizz for ‘most money made’!
A standout session was led by Danni Brooke and Ben Owen from Hunted, who delivered an eye-opening talk about intelligence gathering. They demonstrated how scammers prime their targets using sophisticated tools and tactics, even showcasing a live demo. The session reached an exciting peak as they recounted the takedown of a real-life criminal—one of the FBI’s ‘Top 10 Most Wanted’, in Spain. The combination of real-world insight and practical tips reinforced the importance of staying vigilant against cyber threats.
ESET’s Jake Moore also delivered an incredible session on the use of AI, cloning and deepfakes – including how he accessed a business’ office and hacked the CEO’s LinkedIn using freely available technology.
We were excited to hear about the latest developments in ESET’s software. They announced new features and services that will help us, as an MSP, manage our clients’ antivirus solutions even more effectively. The upcoming integrations, in particular, will streamline our processes and enhance the level of protection we can offer our customers—something we’re always striving for.
Hazel and Danny took full advantage of the opportunity to network, mingling with other IT businesses during the evening events. It was insightful to exchange stories, hear about the challenges other companies are facing, and share experiences.
Overall, the ESET Partner Conference provided a fantastic mix of opportunities to learn and connect. The team did a superb job.
We’d like to say a big thanks to ESET for hosting such a memorable event—we’re already looking forward to the next one!
